Here I am Lord
- tłum. z angielskiego P. Orkisz (1998)

Ja, światłości Bóg i Pan,
Usłyszałem ludzki płacz.
Tym, co brną przez noc i grzech,
Dłoń podać chcę.
Zapaliłem milion gwiazd,
Każdą noc zamienię w blask,
Lecz kto chciałby światło me
Wprost do nich nieść?

Ref.:        Oto jestem, jeśli zechcesz....
Czy to mnie wołałeś w tamtą noc?
                Chętnie Panie, pójdę z Tobą,
                Będę ludziom głosić Miłość Twą.

Ja im dałem deszcz i śnieg,
Każdy ból ich rani mnie,
Więc za miłość moją też
Miłości chcę.
Ale zetrę kamień z serc
I nauczę kochać je.
Lecz kto chciałby Słowo me
Wprost do nich nieść? (Ref.)

Mnie posłuszny wiatr i grom,
We mnie biedak ma swój dom.
Ucztę swą zgotuję im
W pałacu mym.
Chleba dar obfity dam
w serca radość wleję Wam.
Lecz kto chciałby Życie me
wprost do nich nieść? (Ref.)

Here I Am, Lord

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin

My hand will save.

I, who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Ref.:   Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my Heart.

2. I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne My people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.
They turn away.

I will break their hearts of stone,
give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak My word to them.
Whom shall I send?

3. I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.

Finest bread I will provide
till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give My live to them.
Whom shall I send?
